Indonesia went through centuries of injustice before prevailing in 1945 as an actual, officially-declared, UN-approved nation.
During those centuries, we were invaded by the Dutch, the Japanese, the Portugese, and even the Allied Forces. And during all those centuries, special men and women fought against this tyranny, this hegemony, sacrificing their lives for our freedom.
These special men and women are now in graveyards, or even in unmarked ditches. Forgotten and unknown except by their families.
Have we really forgotten the forgotten heroes, who gave their very lives to let us be Indonesians?
